YEah, I got tricked by apple. I have a 3g iPhone. This thing doesn't play games. Touch screen is great for the map and some apps are cool...but games ? HAHAHAHA. Anyone who is a real gamer would not call these programs "games". I hate that the gaming experience is being watered down by these wannabes. I think a PSP2, if well executed, would crush the iPhone. It is just a matter of hitting a competitive price point.

On the other hand - if Kinect simply exists to track your head movements, then great! I support that! But not at a price point above, say, $45...cuz all it is after all, is a freaking webcam!
As a Christian gamer, I too have thought about this before. I bought REd Dead Redemption, and completed it. But at the same time, there were so many awkward moments in the game where I had to compromise my morality to further the plot along. While I understand I am just playing a game, or other may say "why did you buy a mature game" - well, I am just saying I wish I were given the choice to deal with "mature subject matter" in a way that does not make me compromise my mor...
I also did not finish more than 15 minutes of the first one. I didn't like how the world looked/felt... sounds like I should have given the game a chance!
I will give the second one a shot.
Square Enix should hire a good writer and just make CG movies. They do not even come close to western developers in term of making FUN games. Or perhaps they could look at Nintendo - you can have great sales without spending 50 million bucks on creating amazing graphics. Not that I am against having breathtaking visuals - just not at the expense of good gameplay.

I think you can actually have a great gaming library without a single shooter in it. I personally enjoy shooters a lot, but also enjoy other genres.
Modnation, LBP2, GT5, Rock Band 3,Ea Sports titles, Sims 3, FF14, GoW3 etc etc.
With just the above mentioned titles in your PS3 over the next year, you could have 5-600 hours of gaming....and all without a single shot fired.

I was just reading from the official GT website about how they create tire smoke in this game via a complex series of calculations which are dependent upon the actual simulated heat and friction of the tires in the game, in real time.
I can't wait for my PS3 to calculate how much smoke should be billowing from the rear fenders of my fully tuned Nissan 370 Z while I am drifting around the third bend at Suzuka. . . . runs and embraces PS3.
I am so excited about this game! This is, for sure, my most anticipated game of this generation.

The Kinect on the other hand is so completely useless on its own...but if you could use your xbox controller in tandem with the camera, I can surely see good devs using this to create some awesome experiences...but then again, what I just describes is exactly what the Playstation Move is, LOL.

Microsoft could make a awesome portable gaming device if they actually gave it some thought. Some of the smartest designers in the world work at MS. The problem is, they need more leadership at the top of the division.
