But how often does it drop to that number on PS5 versus Xbox? Maybe there is a reduction in other graphical areas which help the PS5 performance. If it turns out they have identical presentation and the PS5 still perform better, that is certainly interesting news. I look forward to the precise measurements from Digital Foundry.

Frame rate is actually slightly better on Xbox if you watch the whole video

It did not happen during the ps3/360 era. The ps3 versions of multiplatform games were always inferior to the xbox360 versions in resolution, performance, texture quality etc. I have seen hundreds of Digital Foundry videos from that period, time and time again the ps3 versions draw the shortest straw.
