I looked to see what games would make me want to get an xbox for 2019. The list only indicated game pass, Xbox live gold, game dev acquisition and backward compatibility.
Sorry I need games to want to get another system.
Microsoft is eventually aiming to be 3rd party. We might still see hardware for another gen or two from them but I wouldn't be surprised by then they go full 3rd party and let's others deal with hardware.

The way GOW ended I doubt there will be a character switch unless it's atreus.
As long as the game is good, majority won't care though, if people had an issue with female character then horizon and lost legacy or tomb raider wouldn't be so popular.

Seems pretty late. New chipsets won't come out for a few years, wouldn't make sense to wait longer.
Microsoft still needs to sell gamepass to the masses and in order to do that they need games as an incentive to make the ball rolling. Once game pass has been accepted, Microsoft could be the new valve and have Steam ergo gamepass.
That's assuming game pass becomes the new way to receive games via Microsoft. Xbox owners have been giving it glowing reviews so far of it, so it may very well happen.
People will deny it but slowly it could happen and when it does it will make sense. After a while it will be a good idea or be accepted when it does and people who denied it will be like " who cares" at that point. Like 10 years from now.

Having BC in the beginning of a systems generation is nice. You can play last gen games when there is a light drought from the early releases. Being ps4 is x86 system it wouldn't make since the ps5 couldn't run ps4 games.
As long as the single player games aren't quality drops then add As many multiplayer games you want. Having a good balance of multiplayer and single us great.
Spot on, I even got Destiny 2 for free from psplus but still haven't played. I'm burned out from the 1st one.
Yeah I assume this game won't sell too well but Microsoft will be able to claim x and x hours playtime and x and x buildings destroyed, yada yada.
Microsoft will definitely brag about this game if it increases game pass numbers.

I wonder what is needed for cross play? Does sony need to reach out to Microsoft to enable or is this all done on server side of the developer.
I know Sony has a beta program for cross play but maybe that isn't fully implemented for eveey dev? Either way hopefully it gets figured out before next gen.
They've been shooting themselves in the foot this gen, glad they are seeing the errors of their way hopefully with microtransactions and poor releases.

Wow Sony killing it still after 5 years and Nintendo coming up right from behind. Glad both doing very well. Microsoft hopefully will have a better gen next time.
