This is pure conjecture from me but I think Sega and Sonic Team don't want a fan made developed game outselling and getting more attention than their mainline games.
DMC has the more complex and deep combat system (and since they've had 5 games that's not surprising) whilst Bayonetta is far more fast paced.
A personal fault I have with both games is the lack of difficulty both series once had. Bayo1, DMC3 and hell even DMC1 were hard and challenging games but made you feel like you accomplished something special when you defeated a difficult boss/hard level.
Now if only id could do the same thing with Doom Eternal.
I don't care
Relax they won't its just people are hesitant these days due to COVID-19.
Ouch
I didn't even know this rumour existed but even I know its BS, its honestly a shame Rare didn't stick with Ninty during the Gamecube/Wii era Banjo 3 could've been an awesome game and Viva Pinata would've gotten more attention on the Wii imo.
Would love a Quake 1 Remake running on the latest id tech though I get that id themselves are too busy working on Doom to make this series now can't imagine any other dev who could do a remake justice.
Well he's not wrong when it comes to cloud gaming.
Ya I'm sure Platinum would LOVE to be bought by the company that cancelled their Scalebound can't imagine why MS doesn't appeal to them /s
Also iirc wasn't Platinum bought out by Tencent?
I was just thinking of Baten Kaitos after playing the definitive edition of XC1 (same dev) man I miss that game and that era of gaming.
No one cares.
Anthem spiritual successor made in the Star Wars universe?
This is more of a general gaming problem imo rather than Japan centric, too many publishers and devs play it safe by making cheap and crappy GaaS and mobile games, the main problem is consumers eat up this kinda games and ask for seconds and dessert. Whilst the games that dare to be different or try something new are considered 'boring' and a waste of time.
Yup after AC3 (a game I despised) they kinda forgot all about the Templars.
A new Pachinko or mobile game maybe unless Konami sell/sold the IP.
Time for Halo: Destiny edition
Well deserved.

Demon Souls (2020) here we go.
