2011 sounds right. With the added PS move and 3D capabilities only enhances the PS3 longevity.
From a consumer stand point looking to buy a gaming system, Sony's system is looking good with 3D, internet browser, blu-ra, PS move, free membership, Wi-Fi, games with great graphics. All this for $399.
Even if.. lets say the PS Move and 3D flops, the PS3 will keep selling due to their libary of 1st party games.
If it is like 30hrs I bet there will be a lot of back tracking.

GT5 will be the reason for me to get into 3D gaming.

Well I for one don't think Sony will go with the pay-to-play route, they would've done that already. I do however think they will offer some sort of premium services like extra content like free movie/game rentals, that sort of thing. To make gamers to play online just doesn't seem like Sony. Sony is trying to differentiate itself from microsoft, so why would they follow MS route?
Well if you don't own an xbox than it shouldn't effect you. I can see xbox users getting upset but not the PS3 users.

Nice! i wish Canadians would get all those PSN features. All we get is the PSN games & demos/trailers. Our Canadian government/CRTC is very strict when it comes to foreign content, but on the bright side we get free health care.
Actually caught my 12yr old nephew pretending to drive while he was in the passenger seat. Also where's the force feed back when racing with the natal, that's a big part of being immersed into a game itself.
What so funny about that? My my brother just bought a brand new(PS2) at Zellers for his kids. There's a lot of stores still selling them.
I hope they install some double jumps and flips in this game.

Definitely improved the GFXs on the guns. Now I like to see some graphical comparison on the characters itself.
Technicaly the PS3 hardware is not a yr older. The PS3 suppose to release the same yr as the Xbox but was delayed due to the blu ray diods.

Your right the PS3 did come out a yr later. The only thing that was keeping the PS3 coming out in the same time as the Xbox was the PS3 blue ray diods, as they are difficult to manufacture. Everything in the PS3 was was done at the same timeline as the Xbox.
