Unbelievable, you didn't think I knew what I was getting when I picked this game up?? Of course I wanted a western, and I've played a ton. Also there are plenty of games out there that have realistic movement in characters that doesn't feel like a chore to play like Alan Wake, ME2, Call of Duty, etc. Your comments are a cop out.
ME2 was a way better game imo...Red Dead as usual from rockstar had terrible controls and the games slows to a crawl with repetative missions. I would say the next one will be much improved, but Rockstar tends to stay the same. But I hope the take it to the next level. ME2 was beautifully done all around.

sorry John Marsten controls like he was drunk and the controls are not intuitive at all. I've been playing games for over 25 years I should not have to think about the controlled or constantly get out the wrong weapon type, etc when I am playing. It takes you out of the experience.
Look at all the ignorant comments. Kinect has 3 cameras that track you in ANY lighting condition. Yes one of the cameras is 30 fps (output not input), however that is not the camera that is tracking you. The RGB camera and Infra red depth sensing camera scanning the room are what is doing the tracking. I have played in all lighting conditions without issue. hmmm, keep trying to compare to eye through ignorance which is nothing but a web cam which has been out for years before the eye was...
Red Dead could have been awesome, but as usual with Rockstar games the controls are crappy. I really wanted to finish the game but it was not nearly as immersive for me as Mass Effect 2.
I love my Win phone 7, it runs great, is easy to use and has xbox live! We do realize that Win phone 7 was launched AFTER Kinect right?? Not long after but about a week later. It was not in October.
Yeah I've been in it since before the PSN+ was announced too. But it was in beta testing the whole time. Although being a gold member has had other discounts for a long time now too (Deals of the Week, early demos, etc) It's nice to see it finally released to everyone.

Sony never turned down Kinect no matter how much people want to say that. Listen to the interview with the inventor of Kinect on MajorNelson's pod cast. All these so called article built around a PR blurb is ridiculous.
this guy's an idiot, only in the initial set up do you need a well lit room. I have played in all different lighting conditions and have had no problems. Dance central has been great, Kinect Sports is really fun too, and my kids love it. Yeah it doesn't have "hardcore" titles out yet. It has fun games for the family to enjoy over the holidays right now.
If you use the Kinect ID feature it calibrates it specifically to you and improves it greatly. I works really well.
In most reviews I'm not reading that at all. Only that the initial line up has sports/dance games but the potential is great. Also the reviews for those games has been better than expected.

how do you not buy it? It needs to track your entire body...are you telling me your sony move remotes or wii remotes can do the same??? The game looks fantastic and has been getting a great response. Harmonix makes great games.
I love this series...although PGR 4 wasn't my favorite I've spent many hours playing through.
for both systems, there are articles stating PS3 is at 38mil and xbox at 44mil, and then there were articles showing the PS3 with 41mil. the problem is most articles are being written by video game reviewers and not analysts so nothing is for certain. I reviewed the PS3 and the 360 sales data from the investor reports and it's extremely difficult to discern the current number of SOLD units for the year or lifespan. Sony is now in Q3 for their year, while Microsoft is now in Q1 for 2011...
ummm....how do you know there are no good games in the pipeline for it??? Are you inside or something? the stuff they announced at TGS is coming too...I play the Kinect almost daily, as well as my other games, Fable, COD Black Ops, Halo, etc. Dance Central is very well done, and Kinect Sports runs great too.
