Its about the fact that games with IAPs are slated for consoles and the PC. Since this has already happened some and and is expected to happen more. It's hard to imagine what you are responding to.

Dumb parents are only the problem if you live in the dumb parents' household. For the rest of us, the IAPs that caused them to get ripped are ruining the games they are in. And that's just one of many issues. That's why signing the boycott makes sense.
While a few very sharply written arguments have been made here to the contrary, a number of rather legitimate gaming news sources have written pieces supporting the article’s author’s contentions that console gamers will see more and more microtransactions in the next year or so, that it may alter the way games are made, and that this very scary.

I write for HD. Seems like sentiment is largely against this boycott. Too bad. I think its right.
I think with Xbox One in particular some devs are raising raising the price to play without really giving anything back, and are implementing the very mechanics that have virtually destroyed most of the big titles on two platforms.

DosBox Turbo on my Nexus 7 is what's gotten me staying up half the night. Fallout 1 and Daggerfall and up next the original Xcom.
My obsession with my Nexus spurred me to begin a magazine, Hardcore Droid (Well, me a and a few others). It's a great system @ 250 bucks. I gave my 9 year old a Nexus for his birthday back in September. It's a little too fragile for my 5 year old(Never take that thing out its case. The glass will break if you stare at it too hard). We gave him a Dell Streak, half the system for twice the money, but Dell unlike Asus smartly uses Gorilla Glass for their screens.
