The idea of playing a Playstation game on a PC or smartphone is way too cool. Can't wait to see how this is implemented.

Also, you're completely wrong. The first PS3 models had backwards compatibility but that feature was stripped not long after in order to reduce the price. The slim model that I currently own is no exception.
Maybe you should have actually asked me what model PS3 I had before assuming that I was somehow lying about that.

That's actually a really good idea. It makes for a nice, casual console suited to a bedroom. Maybe I should consider doing that myself.

The only thing that comes to mind for me is that Xbox sales have always been weak in Japan, so maybe Respawn (or Microsoft more like it) decided to show off the game on PC so more Japanese people will be interested. That's my theory anyhow.

The launch issues are mostly gone now (I couldn't even play the game because of them) and now FFXIV plays very smoothly.

I know right? Square was all like, "can't release the PSP version to the West (even though they promised they would) because TOO HARD." Meanwhile they can make an all new iOS/Android version for both markets somehow.
This is honesty why I don't like Square anymore.
Worse, it's a smartphone port. Ugh, I'd take the PSN download over that.
