Microsoft would turn down the app because it would limit Sony's total market. Meaning people with Windows phones would be inept to the experience of the PLaystation App, leading Windows Phone users to buy the console that would work on their phone. Hence the consumer wanting to buy The Xbox ONE.

Not to pick a bone with you, but why would Sony expect Microsoft to support a PS4 app on a windows phone?...

As someone who has built two personal gaming PCs, I have zero idea how you could possibly lug a huge computer from one persons house to another, plug it in to their living room tv and play in under 5 minutes.
I always chose console over PC because of friends and "couch co-op". But since I'm switching from Xbox to PS4 I have no friends to play with :(
Though I am more interested in the PS4 because I am a "hardcore gamer", Sony is going to have a tough time trying to gain a lead on the family market. I'd say last gen they were third behind the 360 and the Wii in the family games department. But we'll see where the launch title of Knack will take them.

@-NosTalgia- Does it not make sense to you?... Of course it will make them money! That's what good businesses do! The money they make off of the paid subscription will go towards paying for Gaikai and dedicated servers.
Oh Sony mentioned (many times I might add) that they will look into implementing a way to play music other than Music Unlimited.
You do realize that we are paying for PS+ so that Gaikai and hopefully dedicated servers for all multiplayer games will be free to us, right? They made it paid subscription to create a better online experience. Not to make money.

Sony definitely screwed the pooch with their choice of memory for the VITA. Major ripoff written all over it. But the features it is packed with and paired with the PS4 is almost worth it.
That 5.2 billion is from Sony's first fiscal QUARTER alone. That means they could have a larger annual revenue than Microsoft with only 18.5 billion... C'mon, disect what you read before posting it here.

Who WOULDN'T want to buy the next-gen console first day? Maybe some CAN'T but I have still yet to hear of someone who doesn't want to.
You could not get any cheaper... For christ's sake, they just made one billion dollars in one day! How much more money do they need to scrounge up?!
I was worried about missing Xbox's easy to use UI, but PS4... Come to papa! It looks sexy!
