The 80 Gb ps3 does not have the PS2 emotion chip...PS1/PS2 games are emulated...and it works.
The difference is HD sizes..and 60GB, 80Gb and 120GB drives all cost around $50 to $70 each for us if we wanted to get on off the internet...for sony they will be able to get them for less than $30.
So what sony needs to do is price the 80GB PS3 at $399 with 1 sixaxis rumble controller and heavenly sword bluray game, and 5 free bluray movies...and then sony will dominate...
They do not want people to know that rumble sixaxis is comming...they gots to sale all those 60gb ps3!
Should be nice...at least it is going to be different.. Remember gears of war is a third person shooter.
People are just not buying the Xbox 360 right now...sure Halo 3 will sale..but only to the people who already have the console...the 10 million or so...only about 3 million people world wide will buy Halo 3....thats if it is good..
When killzone 2 comes out on the PS3 everybody will buy it on the PS3...

Now we know the wii can not do Gears of War...but i just had to say it.
let this sale...and slowly drop the price of it by $50 before christmas 2007....then drop another $50 when killzone 2 comes out..then it will be $399...then drop another $100 by Christmas 2008..to $299...and they would have won.
Microsoft should just supprise everybody and just do it and only announce it when its done.

What sony should have done was the following
They should have released the PS3 in two SKUs...20GB at $399 but with memory card reader and wifi....60GB PS3 at $499 with wifi, and memory card reader, two controllers and resistance fall of man.
Then they should have dropped the price by $100 for both..
20GB at $299 with motorstorm
60GB at $399 with motorstorm and ext...
It is pre-pre alpha...and the textures will be 100 percent better at release. Remember that are using streaming textures and they have up to 50 gigs of space to pool from.
In 6 months this game is going to blow away...its already pretty silky smooth...they will probably keep it at 720p but go 60 fps....
Nintendo needed this thing to come out before christmas 2007...They screwed up...or the release date is wrong on the link...

The graphics blow pretty much anything else out of the water except for maybe Lair and Killzone...A lot of people are not realizing Lair has the best looking explosions and no pop in...Its seamless in transistions...and supposely heavenly sword has the same thing.
This game is going to be hot...just like Lair, UT3, Warhawk, Socom, Killzone, MGS4, Haze, Littlebigplanet and COD4.
Its a fact...if they can program the cell and its spus...then it can do think more than an Xbox 360...The GPUs are about the same...but the cell and the GPU can work together to do graphics...Also you have up to 50 GB of uncompressed space on the bluray disc for game data. Also you can do 7.1 uncompressed sound on the PS3...Why is all this not better?

Lets face it the wii is what it is...but it is not worth the $250..
Remember you have to buy at least one extra controller and numbchuck...so you gots to spend $60 extra....You really need 4 controllers for party games...you need the component cables too.

There are only 3 good games comming out for the wii by end of year...The upcomming software lineup of the wii does not compare to teh Xbox 360 and PS3 lineup.
Most people forget that the PS3 is also getting warhawk in august....that game alone will make you play your PS3 hours on end..oh and Lair comes out in August too...then Heavenly Sword comes out in September...then GTA4 comes out in october....and then Halo 3 comes out in september on the 360....

The current PS3s in North America has the PS2 chip in it for 100 percent backwards compatibility. The 80GB model will not have this...also you can get the PS3 for $499 with 5 free blurays and an extra controller.
Just get the sixaxis touchsense controller when it comes out in october.
