When the UK did this, pirate bay actually saw an increase of traffic. There's many sites I use such as ukbay.org, gives a new proxy everytime you click or just the hola extension for Kat etc.

While inconvenient some attacks I agree with, as they show vulnerabilities within systems leading to a fix. With lizard squad all they are doing are DDOSing which anyone can do and nothing positive has come from these attacks. All that's happened is they have got the attention that they want.
