xenos isn't slightly better than the rsx it is FAR superior to the rsx almost an entire generation ahead of it. the ONLY reason you don't notice is because they cell has the ability to OVERCOMPENSATE for most of the limitations the rsx has when up against xenos(we only have sony to thank for that). the only think the cell cant make up for is the EDRAM bandwidth that enables 360 games to render alpha effects in full resolution where the rsx can only do quarter resolution. again alpha e...
this is a clear indication that the 360 cant keep up just look at gears 3 animations and compare them to gears 1 and 2 I'm sure you'll all agree.

what you fail to realize is that the first xbox was a complete failure so microsoft could not afford to ship the 360 with a very high pricetag or it would have been a bigger failure than the first. sony was only able to get away with launching the ps3 very expensive(which was because of blu ray) because of the massive fanbase they had already secured with the ps1 and ps2. so microsoft using dvd was simply PLAYING IT SAFE sony could afford the gamble.
would still be no match because devs would lose their ability to optimize because not all the specs of ps3s will be the same.

I agree but the skin of the characters look plastic just like that of all current gen games. How I wish consoles where capable of directx 11 subsurface scattering the skin on characters would have looked FAR more realistic. really cant wait for next gen consoles to come out and I'm not talking about the wii 2 by the way(because its simply a machine launching on 2012 with 2008 hardware ala ati r700 gpu)

crysis 2 is currently graphics king on consoles so that alone destroys your comment. gears 3 beta looks amazing as well clearly better than Alan wake right up there with uncharted 2. the 360 can run ps3 exclusive may have to be on 8dvds but it can do it crysis 2 and gears 3 MP beta proves this(I can just imagine how the single player will look like)
