The problem is how quickly that sensation of "awe" wears off. I have yet to meet anyone that remains wowed by the wii after a couple of weeks or months at most. The ultimate toy system. There is a reason it has sold so astronomically, if only I derived gaming pleasure from sales numbers.
Interesting how Halo 3 was likely to be the last Halo game from Bungie, then it was ODST, and now it's Reach. Something tells me there will never be a "last Halo game from Bungie".
Your statement would hold more factual weight if directed at those who use the Bible to forward their own misguided agendas rather than the actual collection of literature itself. The Bible, much like religion, is all too often blamed for the shortcomings of those who have zero actual understanding of their original intent (i.e. zealots like Lahaye and Robertson).
How, exactly, does that differ from pretty much any widely accepted view in any society from any era of human history? Religion is included, but it's not the sole bane of human existence like so many portray it to be.
Religion is just an easy way to control the ignorant. The same here-say and folklore has been spread throughout history inside and outside of religious involvement. The same can be said of rape, torture, murder and all other forms of mayhem. The fact is, the problem with religion is that humans are involved.
The fact that the Left Behind series is considered to be "Christian" is one of the biggest reasons I totally understand people hating religion.

Posh, these images indicate a graphical improvement in the range of 17-23% on the conservative side. There may even be room for an eventual bump of 31% graphical improvement between now and launch. I would even go so far as to say that with the proper amount of effort on Bungie's part the graphics in HR could be improved beyond the 40% mark, in relation to Halo 3, by as early as 22 days prior to launch.

I may get tired of tetris after a while, but I always find my way back. To me it's like the water of the video game world. It's not the most exciting game but it gets the job done like no other. The job of course being the wasting of time.
The new game smell is easily worth $5 to me. I still can't wrap my head around the mentality that saving $5 is worth choosing a used copy. I guess I just make too much money.
But you have to admit their scam wouldn't work without willing participants. They've got a successful business plan that isn't forced on anyone, so it's not like they're abusing anyone at all.

The developers get a cut of every legit copy sold when they sell it to the retail outlet. What happens after that has nothing to do with the developers.
Here's a tip. Get the NVGs and let one of your opponents use them. Then you can sit back and dominate as they fall all over the place trying to figure out how to walk on uneven ground and step over sticks and logs. Depth perception is virtually non-existent, at least with the military NVG's I've used. Maybe these $50 NVG's are better.
