My xbox was killed by lightning, possibly because even though it was "off" I think it was set to download in partially on mode or something. My PC was off and it didn't get hurt at all but my modem was fried too.
I recommend that everyone gets a "whole house surge protector" AND a great plug in SP too because one isn't enough as I learned...

Can someone please verify that the PS4 controller will work right out of the box without charging the wireless battery as long as you plug the USB cable in?
Will the dualshock 4's battery charge while you're playing a game with it as long as it's plugged in? I assume you should unplug it after it's charged or it might reduce the DS4's life?
No offense intended but I wonder if Half-Life 3 was delayed so long because Valve wanted to see the next-gen consoles and then make their Steam Box better and then release HL3 on it and PC only?

I loved the variety of things to do and ways to fight in earlier BF games and after reading this I'm loving BF4 even more.
Awesome jump-able waves, scout heli's new 25mm cannon, 40x sniper scope ;), EOD bots, flooding a 'city' and boating around in it, amazing weapon/vehicle customization, etc! (The BF3 launch had problems but they'll probably do better this time and you can play the great single player while they fix it.)

Firstly this game looks great, I've watched tons of videos about it.
I haven't played any AC games :(. After hearing the complaints about AC3 I am going to wait for reviews and maybe a demo before I buy it, but from what I've seen of the gameplay I have no doubt it will be fun for tons of hours.

I'm not against nudity, sex, or violence but I find it strange that here in the USA you can show torture, shootings, beheadings, etc on broadcast TV at 9pm but you can't show any nudity.
