I'm not worried, Sony has/had financial problems so they'll want to do this right and at a great price so they can make tons of money selling games, movies, etc. They know they'll be seen as the hero when they bring comfortable VR to the masses, they already did great things with the PS4.
All they need to do now is to get the product out there with the right demos where the masses can test it and see that it's a must have item. Smart devs know that this will b...
If anyone thinks that VR is a gimmick then from this moment forward you're only allowed to move your head with your hands. Just like a wheel makes racing games better, being able to use your neck will make many games better and you already own one.
I'm American and this beanie wearing punk has annoyed me too :P.
@Clown_Syndr0me lol I don't like looking at him either.
I will play this eventually but I'm waiting for Diablo III.
lol I can't wait to tell my virtual wife.
Obviously you can eventually spend more money and possibly get a better product but why fight over it, if one VR isn't good enough for you then buy a better one. The great news is that it already looks very good considering the alleged price range. It won't be perfect but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying games even when they were mostly stick figures.
They can do a lot with 3rd person 3D and VR.
Move your head towards the characters to get a close up view of them, be the 'eyes in the sky' and peek over objects to find loot and paths.
You could have 'god powers' like making a headbutt motion to smash all the enemies on screen, shake the controller to cause earthquakes, laser eyes by targeting them by looking directly at them, etc.
VR can possibly make it feel like you're there supporting them inst...
My smartass brain will remind me of the "A fool and his money are soon parted." saying whenever I consider buying the wrong thing.
The worst of all are those companies that release something unfinished, laggy, and then sell "premium" versions before they even finish their original mess.
Companies, like anyone with power can do anything we'll let them get away with. Would you like to buy some horse armor? ;)
I can see why your dough-boy is so happy, soon he'll be getting VR-poked in the gut.
That would be scary in VR.
So far it's all good news to me.
It looks good near to far, 3D audio, comfortable, etc.
You could obviously spend more to get more elsewhere but I'd buy it as it is right now and could care less if the graphics have to be reduced a bit in some games for it to be smooth, it's the combination of all the parts that make the experience great.
umad bro? The best things in life aren't free ;).
"He also suggested use and development of haptic interfaces. Car peripherals like a steering wheel and pedals could make the experience more one-to-one." I loved using a wheel/pedals while playing midnight club 2, I can't imagine the greatness that awaits when you combine that with VR.
“When I looked down, I saw my body was that of Lara Croft. It was an engorging experience.”
If you build it they will come.
Germans know a great machine when they see four.
@PoSTedUP before I knew about SP and LD I was sleeping and I thought I woke up but my vision was strangely fractured like I was looking through glass broken into big shards. Then I looked and death was coming for me but I couldn't move or scream no matter how hard I tried (scary, but when I woke up for real I realized that dark shape coming for me was just my dresser).
For new lucid dreamers just know that it's not real and can't hurt you, for me anger helps,...
Sounds interesting thanks, I'll go see what I've been missing.
Blizzard the reaper of wallets wants your money! ;)
Give me a D3 PS4 release date or give me death.
You stick to running north Korea and we'll stick to having fun on our consoles.
