I remember you could save Aerith (Aeris or whatever her name was). But the majority of us probably saw her get shanked.
the ps1 games don't look half bad when you do the psp/ps3 link thing. FF8 on my widescreen HDTV looks absolutely horrid...like almost not even a game it's stretched and so pixelated. But on the PSP it's sorta like how I remember it from back in the day.
figuring out how to get Vincent was a pain without a guide lol...and the fact being I was so much younger than now with the attention span of a poodle
this game and those old Fatal Frame games....Just couldn't play em lol...once a creepy noise happened in DS or when the controller vibrated in Fatal Frame, the power button was smacked.
i vividly remember the enemies in Black doing this weird Stretch Armstrong thing from time to time. Good game though I reckon. Hated the fact you couldn't skip cutscenes.
thats a shitty thing to admit.
omg thats great.
Those no namer sites aren't paid to review one sidedly, probably aren't paid to review period. Hence the reason why you see higher scores from those sites, it shows perhaps that maybe someone "no named" reviewed the game honestly.
gamespot gave lost planet 2 a 5.5 i believe and this a 6.5...I thoroughly enjoy LP2, so it makes me wonder how AP will turn out in my opinion.
Very nicely said, but it does seem to be the younger ones that run with this fanboyism in games. Name yourself simply ILoveCoD and join a Halo match, wait and listen. Better yet, LoveFoMy360 and play any online PS3 game lol (/sarcasm,) or RRoDYourMom and join...wait that one's kinda funny...lol.
Well said. I like games, taking the time out of my life to figure out if I hate a certain game system just ultimately makes me miss out on any exclusive titles. The war between the consoles is getting hotter, and look at what MS and Sony alone are willing to do just to secure exclusivity. MS paying millions for GTA IV DLC? Ridiculous lol. But goes to show that the companies alone are making you miss out unless you own or can play both systems. That is if you just enjoy gaming in genera...
I own both systems personally due to my love of gaming in general.
Side note: Anyone else get kinda irritated or annoyed at just the term fanboy, like who came up with that word anyway?
Genre...can't stand that word either...for some reason lol...
It's called the Play, Create, Share initiative...
I dunno, after determining that its a stat based shooter mechanic, i think I'm less worried about the combat. The rest of the game seems decent enough. The review up there says some areas are linear and others are non linear. Seems to me like it may be one of those love hate games. I'll give it a try.
If i myself listened to everyone else's opinion, I'd wear super tight jeans and a trucker hat covering my lengthy locks that I'd spend more time primping than most females... Thanks but no thanks...I'm always wary of someone else's opinion as everyone has different influences. Especially ones released too early.
can you say whether or not anything improves further into the game? I'm always skeptical of early pre-release reviews, as I just don't know if the reviewer has the time or the intestinal fortitude to play game after game from start to end. I read somewhere a couple months ago that most reviewers play about 40% or so of a game....I truly wish I could find that article again.
I still vote the White Ranger as being one of the best looking and authentic looking mods yet. lol
If you bought it yesterday....then how can you judge the game dead today?
I have 4 clan friends on my friends list from back when I owned it and every single day they still are playing it. Open your NAT homie...
When i owned the game 2 months ago, I only had trouble finding games using the map packs i purchased lol. Other than that, there was always some decent sized match going.
One of the games I actually looked forward to switching disks for...it was sorta like...Ooooooo wonder what I'm gonna get myself into on Disk 3. Legend of Dragoon was another one.
