I wonder if this version will have any new sequel teasers? Here's to hoping so!
I remember hearing that as well. Honestly, this is kind of disappointing news. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate games with more free-flowing character customization, but I was really looking forward to messing around with each of the classes that (I thought) were supposed to be in this game
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some kind of story mode, too. I'm sure that we won't be getting anything as extensive as Subspace Emissary, but some kind of minor story or quest-based gameplay would be really neat. I'm hoping that we'll get something like Smash Run, at the very least.
I'm kind of on the fence about how I want to classify it too, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it the same game. Sure, there are some similarities between Ultimate and Smash 3DS/Wii U (it would be kind of weird if they weren't), but it's not some kind of copy/paste port. Having played it myself, I can confirm that there are some changes that, while they may be noticeable to those watching, are very easy to spot when you're playing. I still can't believe that this actually ended up getting brought over to the West. Although I didn't love every single change that was made to the original Generations, I still feel like positives far outweighed the negatives. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what all MHGU will be bringing to the table!
I wasn't even sure what to think about this initially. I actually thought that it was a joke, at first. Still, I won't knock it. Weird as it is, it's kind of awesome in its own way.
This definitely brings up quite a few valid talking points.
Personally, I'm really sad that they didn't include Tetris Attack.
It makes me really happy to know that Nintendo was able to push past some of their previous hardships like they did. Here's to hoping that things keep getting even better!
Sad to hear it was just so-so; it had a pretty neat premise. I'm honestly still surprised that they nixed the more tactical combat style, too. It was very fitting for the series.
They were very charming, for sure.
Objectively, I get where people are coming from when they say that a successor might not be the best idea. The Switch is already sort of filling that role, so there's a chance that a dedicated handheld might not work. Subjectively, however, I'm absolutely psyched.
