I doubt it. It's way to many fps. I like ps2 gen better than this one. The ps2/n64 was good too. And even though it was before my time I do like the snes/mega drive. I don't like this gen because there is not enough "good" jrpg's, too many fps, dlc, and focus on online.

If games aren't art now then they will never be. Games like okami, ico, orcarina of time, and more are almost non existent. All I see is fps and besides a select few aren't art.
of course Sony already learned from Microsoft. Achievements, in. game menu, net flix, in game invite, intergrated store (it use to be a web portal), as matter fact the whole dedicated unified online service came from Microsoft so I fail to see the author's point
Microsoft has a patent on cross game chat and music. Sony bypassed the music some what but the chat patent is pretty locked down

The ps3 is the best console released this generation if you are going by features alone(and I'm not fanboying) the only thing sony needs to do is advertise the ps3 better.
