Looks kinda like 3DMark01, so 10 year old graphics I guess. Yay..
Must be a pretty damn good console to take such an enormous market share from Sony while having "no games". ;)
Veeeery old video.
Only thing that bugged me was the camera. It's too close. :/
Playing FPS games a lot does make you a better aimer in real life too as your coordination skills are upped
Fantastic game, can't wait
@red2tango
Hard to know before we actually see it on a TV screen, maybe it is, maybe it isn't
And what makes you think the videos show two episodes? The game has six episodes so according to you that would make the entire game length about 1 hour.
As far as I know it's 6
As a reply to your post below, the world in Alan Wake is actually almost three times bigger than the world in San Andreas which is the largest GTA world yet. Alan Wake is 100 square km while San Andreas is 36. It's true though that disc space had nothing to do with Remedy scrapping sandbox.
Do people even consider that a lot of people keep sticking to the same brand when they buy new consoles? Considering the PS2 sales vs. Xbox sales the Xbox 360 is a success even if PS3 outsells it this generation, which is good since that means quicker development and lower prices for us.
The QD was really not that bad, they fixed all the stupid design issues and released a bunch of good games, too bad its reputation had already been destroyed with the first one, and with the later release of DS and PSP it was doomed.
It's still open world technology (according to Remedy) and the same people have said that many goals in the game can be reached in many ways using vehicles or just by walking, thus it's not always linear. It's also been said that the world will be open for exploration during daytime gameplay.
It should be taken into consideration that Alan Wake features an open world of 100 square kilometers, comparable to San Andreas' 36 square kilometers. I haven't played UC2 so I don't know about this but I've heard that weather and shadows etc. are pretty much static in UC2 while in Alan Wake everything is dynamic. UC2's textures look amazing but it's really difficult to compare.
It's pretty hard to say what's so good about a game that's not yet released. However almost everyone who's had the chance to try it (previews) says it's very good so I guess that gives the game a lot of promise.
Beautiful graphics, I just hope they increase the sense of Sonic's speed, seemed a bit slow in the trailer.
Considering that the world area in Alan Wake is 100 square kilometers compared to eg. San Andreas' 36 square kilometers, it's pretty damn good looking.
Since you obviously can play games of the future.. could you tell me what the next CoD is like?
It's actually a wooden cart, this can clearly be seen in the HD version on Youtube
No it's the Gameboy Color version.
