With this issue being brought more and more into the light as of late, is it possible that SONY would firmware fix this out of the console? I'm not too tech savvy on firmware full capabilities, but can they create an update that would potentially fix this future worry?
Yes. On PS4 you can choose to only play with console though if you want in the settings.
The game runs a party of four. If only two players are playing, you both can switch between two of your active characters.
If three players, the host has two while 2 & 3 control one character.
Four players, everyone controls one character, but the enemy defense and attack is boosted a little more to counter four human players.
Combat is great because it's fast, fluid, and every character brings new stuff to the action(and their elemental attacks combo each other's for extra damage), but Genshin Impact also plays huge on story. There's a lot of it that keeps unlocking as you progress through levels. Also, they hold events which bring in additional story if you catch those.

I play this on my Galaxy Tab and my daughter plays on PS4. We've had a blast since day one. My daughter's love of anime brought her to this game. She was not a big gamer, but Genshin Impact is something she visits every day and something that we play together as a fun Father/Daughter thing on the weekends.
