I got a lot of push back on that statement. Many "Why would Retro Studios need to justify costs on a game they launched 4 years ago." One word: Shareholders.
This is 100% what I was writing about in my article. I legitimately saw people saying that those who invested in this are "F#$@'d in the head." It's not disliking something personally that is toxic, it's feeling the need to put that on others.
I did not take that into consideration ;)
1 Up Box ships to Poland! https://1upbox.zendesk.com/... And NO - I don't get money if you sign up, at least not with this company!
So agree. I cannot get over the people pissed because they did not sell the IP. Ridiculous thought...
This is probably the route I'll go only because I almost ALWAYS choose Fire. I feel like the water type will have an interesting 3rd evolution though. Something...angry and menacing. Cute to angry, it is what Game Freak does!
I did mention the beautiful graphics at the end of this particular article :D Looks fantastic!
I knew Rowlet would get love because he's cute, and I do expect people to be all over the map, but I personally just find Rowlet a little boring! To be fair, however, I think Bulbasaur is cool because of what it evolves into, so may be we will get some kick ass bird as the 3rd evolution and change my opinion entirely.
So agree. And when you factor in season passes or DLC purchases, games are running Canadians north of 100.00!
I agree with you 100%, and in the article I paint myself with the same brush that I'm using to criticize others. I've done this in the past, and its taken me to review, and read reviews, of Mario Tennis to realize how out of touch I am with Nintendo consumers. Fortunately, when Nintendo review codes come in, I can have my son play them as well to get a different perspective!
No, Ori is recent. Thats why I used Ori. Lots of people are playing it now. Again, I do not literally want Ori 10 times a year. Gamer's want more Ori is a clevar tag line for an article about how people are moving towards polished, shorter, and cheaper games. It wasn't an indie / smaller game love article where I listed good games.
Also, I've played Ori, and haven't played some of those other ones.
Im guessing you didn't read the article. For the record, I don't want every game ti be actually like Ori and the Blind Forest.
Thanks for the comments, negative and positive. I meant to write that it is a current console exclusive to Xbox One. Yes, it is available on PC (as stated near the end of the review), and Xbox 360 has yet to get a release date. I have fixed the error!
Almost rectified! I haven't had lingering issues. Just a few here and there. Things are definitely better, but still work to do. If 343 doesn't fix it completely, that review will get a re-submission with a lower score. But its 343, and its Halo. While some companies don't deserve it, I think they do for their track record. I think they fix it, so I give it a 9 for now.
I've been critical of Nintendo's moves in the past, but I am a big supporter of them and fully believe they did almost everything right this year (aside from poor amiibo marketing!) May be I feel this way being a media member this year instead of just a Nintendo owner, but they have reached out with events more than I ever remember in the past. Kudos to them, they deserve lots of credit for their 2014!
Any excitement for Captain Toad?
Fair enough :P I no money, Steam and past generation was big for a lot of people, but I was curious how many people that really was. Hoping to get some feedback on that.
Really really wanted to give it a 9, but there is some significant lag in multiplayer and the lack of voice acting (that you mentioned) held me back. Still a solid title!
I'm pretty excited about it. Curious to see what "Story Mode" is gong to offer. Whether something with some depth, or just a collection of mini games that you play in a specific order.
