I agree, competition is absolutely vital and without it we'll end up with the PS3 launch again. Nintendo are providing healthy competition in sales at least right now. But the fact that not only do exclusives matter but exclusives on PS4 are outperforming AAA third party titles on Xbox One in the biggest market is incredibly worrying for Xbox. Even if the exclusives do come, there's a worry their brand has suffered.
And break some new records along the way I think.
The people at the top made errors with Kojima but the general employees and other developers at the company shouldn't be punished for that.

We're going through a JRPG resurgence right now IMO. Titles like this would have been drowned out a few years ago

Sekiro really doesn't count as Souls like. It's an action adventure game, not an action RPG for a start. We can't just call everything From Software make or every game with deliberative, third person combat a souls like for the sake of it.

Some of the comments on this post are pretty disgusting. Healthy debate is brilliant and criticism of the article is very welcome but calling PS4 players 'retards' and using that word in general is just not on.
That's why the article emphasizes 'risk' and not that it's a guarantee. Don Mattrick done a wonderful job at Xbox and his career was ruined by that awful launch, if they try and overcomplicate the Xbox 2 launch the same thing could happen to Phil Spencer. We won't truly know until it happens.
The fact that they don't charge money until shipping is great. However they never have games at good prices. They are always more expensive than the competition outside of sales.
This is interesting! The manager in my local GAME said the opposite, said that the full bundle would have to be refunded as the headset was being offered at a promotional price (it was like a 99p discount). Might attempt to contact another store.
