Midway kind of still exists, just rebranded as NetherRealm Studios.
What an absolute dream come true! I go back to play X-Men Origins: Wolverine on PS3 every couple of years, and it still holds up as an authentic Wolverine experience. This looks like it's going to dethrone that game as the definitive Wolverine simulator.
Been waiting on more information on this game longer than expected. I'm glad they're taking their time with it, but I'd be lying if I claimed not to be in a rush to get my hands on it.
Unfortunately, I'm sure they won't be the last, either. Crystal Dynamics has to appease their shareholders somehow, after all.
The following will carry over into the game:
Operatives
Operative skins
Weapons
Weapon skins
Scorestreak skins for scorestreaks featured in Black Ops 7
Equipment skins for equipment featured in Black Ops 7
XP Tokens and GobbleGums
"They flew too close to the sun with their skins and are getting burnt."
This is poetry. I love it!
While I begrudgingly agree with most of what you said, I'm still going to lean on my Fortnite statement. I don't think that the game needs a cost of entry any longer, and my belief is that it would thrive with a free-to-play model. The recent Battlefield beta engagement numbers showed us that the peak number of concurrent players exceeded CoD's all-time high, proving that gamers are looking for something new, so there's a distinct possibility that a large number of players w...
I'm sorry, but how is a $70 launch price "less than expected?" This game should adopt a free-to-play model at this point, seeing how it's basically cloned Fortnite's business model.
I'd say it's more along the lines of simple human decency.
This happened to me as well, but with my modded 360. Games lost all their value, and I never finished anything because there was always the next big game that I "just had to play" coming out the next day. I never enjoyed gaming less than when I was able to play EVERYTHING.
STOKED for this.
No platinum trophies for these? That's disappointing.
That's inaccurate. I was ready to buy a Series X for this game, but I'm not going to now due to the huge step back in framerate. There are plenty of current-gen open-world games running at 60fps, so this is really unacceptable with current hardware. I guess I'll give it a shot on PC.
Let's hope it's as replayable as the original, seeing as these trophies are asking for SEVERAL runs through the game.
I'm pretty sure Insomniac already confirmed an expected M rating...
As a matter of fact, you can see for yourself that they're aiming for that in this Forbes article:

Great game, but this reviewer really need to work on their grammar and spelling. It was a painful read.
I'm thankful that my launch PS4 worked out of the box, unlike two of my friends.
I have one of these. I'd consider it more of a launch kit than press kit seeing as most of them were sent to GameStops and Best Buys and the fact that it lacks an included game.
The Portal is really coming into its own. Definitely a better device than it was at launch.
