It's such a shame as well - with the success of other sports franchises the world of rugby has been crying out for a decent game.
I guess the market just isn't there to spend the investment money.
Ha, I had totally forgotten about that; dark times in gaming, running around in a gimp suit beating people to death with that thing!
That is potentially true of the single player, but from what I've seen the multiplayer is a totally different story there.
Will be interesting to see how they compare on the co-op front though.
I'm looking forward to the co-op details. I got to go to a recent THQ event and some co-op action was meant to be playable there, but the code wasn't ready in time.
Buzz there was that it is going to be some kind of five player horde mode, but the official reps were tight lipped about it - although when I compared it to DoW's Last Stand mode I'm sure I saw an eyebrow quiver!
I still can't get over the Barbarian cover, that thing was shockingly lame even by 80s standards! I only wish I'd managed to keep the box when I moved out of home!
Pure fail EVERYTIME I've tried to get the wife interested in anything! The only thing she would even consider was Bomb Jack and some old Mac game called Scarab of Raa!
