I remember two years ago when he stated in an interview that he thinks the 360 is the best console ever. Ps3 fanboys went on a riot and called him a 360 fanboy for saying the 360 was better than the ps3.
So John caramack Is irrelevant because he hasn't made a bunch of great games in a while? So tell me N4g commenters how are all the great games you've been making as of late? Did any of them turn AAA yet?
John is not dissing consoles here he just saying that the RAM next gen consoles will have won't make games look that much better and even goes on to praise it saying developers will get games out quicker on consoles because of it.

console fanboys have been fighting each other on this website and every other website for the last 7 years over the ps3 or 360 being better than the other. from insults to death threats and they don't think thats elitist behavior. I rarely see pc gamers on this site doing the "elitist" things these guys are saying. Its always ps3 or 360 fanboys fighting
I can play this game at resolutions beyond 1080p and usually around 90 fps so what do they mean by high end exactly?
but either way good on ps4 owners for getting the game. It's a lot of good fun.

I agree. There's obviously more of a focus on multimedia than actual games. Whats BS is that you can't access any of it without paying and subscribing to XBL. All of which are features that you can use free somewhere else.
Sure xb1 is having 15 exclusives in its first year but how long will that last? The 360 had alot of games in it's first few years and the last four of the 360s years have been dry in terms of exclusives.

Agreed. Maybe if they had some games like fps, rts, fighters, racers, platformers, and games from other genres that actually work well with kinect in every aspect of the game than maybe we will be talking. Yet all we see are voice commands in games we already play.
They need to show us that kinect has great games that can work well with kinect. Not voice commands and generic wii sports knock offs and dance games.

Along time ago like many gamers here I owned and played and loved my ps1. unfortunately my ps1 broke down and it made me really sad. then I heard about the ps2 and how it can play any ps1 games. I jumped for joy and the ps2 became the best console ever with the ps1 library and the ps2s library. With the ps2 I was still able to play my ps1 games regardless of my broken ps1, and I can still do it now if I want to because my ps2 is alive and kicking! where as my ps1 has been dead for over a deca...
I'm not much of a pokemon gamer. Hell I pretty much quit pokemon when I got older.
But pokemon X and Y look like they're going to be amazing games.

Agreed 100%. Console gamers think they know everything about pc gaming when they mostly don't know shit about it. If they did than they would know that the 1,000-5,000 dollar gaming pc that you have to upgrade every few months or year is bullshit.
I upgrade my pc 3 times since I started gaming on it since the snes days .

optimization doesn't get you as far as you think it does. Regardless of how optimised the 360 and ps3 were this gen most of the time they couldn't even come close to pc in terms of graphics, resolutions, and frame rates.

Then just use a controller on the pc. Its not hard to play pc games with controllers can it can be done.
