Trust me, if someone wants to spend that much on a DVD player, then they'll make sure its the right choice.
lol. You both make me laugh... So, what exactly made the Wii so popular, isn't because of its aim at kids. Parents buy consoles for kids, kids don't buy their own.. When parents see such a game they'll get their kids a PS3 because they'll think it'll make their kids creative and develop good imaginations (which is true from the look of the game).. This game is not my cup of tea, but If you argue that its not gonna be a system seller because its aimed at kids then u are so wrong.

Wii is not next gen, its a new gen, that does not affect the figures of the other two consoles.

Thats old news. The production cost has been less than 400 for a while.. Still, Sony is not making profit. Remember, what matters for sony is the price charged to retailers first which is at lease 100 below the retail price.
I think the HD DVD camp know they lost, but Toshiba is sticking there because they want some cash from the Blue Ray coalition to give it up completely.
