theMart you are right, there is no so much difference between 60 and 30 fps. but who says that it runs always at 30fps ??? they will be sure situations the game will run with under 20 fps. and than you have frame drops, like in nearly every xbox360 game !!! so 60 fps is better, there will never be slow downs.
i have a x800xt. and this game runs very good with this graphic card (at least the demo). with resolution 1280*1024 and all details on !!! it runs smoothly like doom3.
the reason is the xbox360 is not so powerfull, lime microsoft hyped. i bet gears of war will have bad frame drops, if they dont reduce the graphic quality. and who knows it this game ran on a real xbox360 at the E3 ??? perhaps it was a with more power, only to hype. noone knows.
