Honestly Black Ops will be my last COD purchase. Activision has 4 excellent shooters in MW, WAW, MW2, BO. A nice COD 4 pack (if BO turns out to be as good as it is looking). The Kennedy Zombie thing is a giving me doubts, so BO wont be a first day purchase until I hear the reviews.

Oh, and MAG should come pre-installed on future PS3's. Awesome objective based shooter. Snipers paradise.

@PRHB HYBRiiD - Who cares about refined textures? The issues are Jaggies, Pop-in graphics and 1080p resolution support. Pre-rendered screen captures from the PC version say nothing about how it will look on a console. Has Treyarch gone the extra mile to eliminate Jaggies and Pop-in graphics? MW2 touted 'streaming textures' which eliminated most pop-in graphics but jaggies were apparent around objects that require shadows or thin objects like wires and trees. These issues totally impac...

A 1 to 2 hour introduction to a video game would be AWESOME!! Imagine NOTR or Dragon Age: Sacred Ashes as introductions to a campaigns in these games. Something that explains the baack story. Imagine a back story to Demon's Souls done by blur.

Freaking Awesome!!!

The quality of these movies would have to be on the level of blur studios for $30.00+ dollars to leave my pocket. Compiled cutscenes would ruin a game, so that idea stinks. Prologues or Prequels ...

The article doesn't make sense. Call of Duty is a freaking game for Gods sake. Now if Chris had of hypothesized that Activision pressed Treyarch to add these new elements in preparation for the COD subscription service.

That would have been more interesting.

I foresee me spending my entertainment dollars on more used and discounted games because of this.

Publishers are screwing everyone

Activision made 1 billion dollars on MW2

1 BILLION!!!

The Infinity Ward leads peeped, and got fired.

You do the math.

The issue of "Development Studios need to get paid" is freaking stupid. The Big Publishers need start paying these studios. Honestly, Studios should be publishing their own content on the internet and cut out these publishing companies. What the hell is Activision doing around anyway.

The Infinity Ward leads are no longer around because of issues with pay.

Alternative, the games should be cheaper. Then only charge for online play. That way you catch...

Are you freaking kidding me dude!?!.. The system of management messed up the COD franchise, not Infinity Ward. IW has set the bar for online shooters. Remember IW was 2015 Inc. at EA and started with MOH. No, it wasn't IW, it was Activision's pressure and greed that has messed up COD. IW has been cranking out the hits for Activision and in the end Activision showed IW no respect.

Yeah, to bad for Treyarch and all the work their putting in. They deserve a better parent company.

BO doesn't have half the buzz of MW2... This is just game marketing at its finest. Trying to make everyone feel like you'll miss out on something if you don't buy it.

Honestly, the only studio that needs to be making movies is Blur. The Dragon Age: Origins trailers were amazing. Particularly "Sacred Ashes", also the SWOR trailer. If Sacred Ashes was a movie, I'd pay $15.00+ to see it. Without 3D.

The 3DS is a stroke of genius!! If it works as advertised, it will out sell all other hand held electronics. Nintendo is and has always been leading the way. Nintendo defines Next-Generation.

Star Wars inspired a whole generation (including gamers). COD hasn't inspired anybody. The comment was made as an excuse to milk gamers. I'm afraid Activision is about to get a rude awakening regarding the position they're taking on the COD franchise.

This opera should be called... "To kill a franchise".

I believe these AAA titles are showing up AA nowadays. MW2, RDR, AC2 just to name a few. Buggy as hell... for $60.00! Obvious "BUGS" are being passed off as "GLITCHES" on youtube. Some of the bugs in RDR are unbelievable and it's incredible to believe they got passed QA. The majority of bugs in RDR are found in regular gameplay.

I want my quality AAA titles. A sub $30 in my mind is a whole different game type.

$140 - $155.00 plus XBL for Multiplayer is around $205.00 just to play for a year. It would cost $146.00 for each additional year to play COD. $104.00 is a better value.

Paying a subscription fee for COD multiplayer doesn't seem to be financial sustainable model. I believe the quality will go down in the product overall. We've already witnessed Activision pushing the gimped "Stimulus Package" DLC containing maps from Modern Warefare. Gamers expect quality releases and good value for their dollars. The cost model to provide quality DLC consistently would be to high therefore causing higher rates for subscription fees. Throwing map packs toget...
