This game is going to be beautiful (graphically and thematically). SotC was one of the few games that had an emotional impact on me, and there is little to no dialogue in that game. Amazing.

"Many delays?" It's been a long wait, but wasn't there only one official delay? Anyways, this is great news. There's no doubt in my mind that GT5 will be worth the wait!

Meh, score doesn't bother me, I'm still buying the game lol. Don't let it sway your purchase if your were going to buy it initially.

Very true, xTruthx. It doesn't have to be, it could just be acknowledging the successes of the development studio. I, for one, never "care" about sales. But in this case, I am happy that HR sold so well because it shows that gamers aren't afraid to delve into something different. As a result of this, we might see more titles like HR in the future.

P.S. Who's the disagree fairy roaming these parts? If you disagree with my previous comment, state your reasons. That is all...

For me, sales matter for this game because it took unconventional risks, and succeeded. Some thought it was destined to fail for being an "interactive movie," unknowing that it was much more than that: it is, in and of itself, a game. Acknowledge the sales for HR because of the gamble QD took for broadening the storytelling medium for the industry, not for it's exclusive rights.

And I disagree with your final statement entirely. I consider myself a "hardcore gamer&...

There should be a "formal" warning on the box cover that reads: "This game will kick your ass, and then some."

I really enjoyed how challenging DS was, and I'm praying for a sequel. This is fantastic news for Europe.

Congratulations with your success QD! I hope they never put a stop to what they do. Their games re-imagine the way narratives are told in videogames. I look forward to supporting their next project.

Amen to that.

I can't imagine, this game looks incredible! They put a lot of heart into this game. It might just set new standards for the open world genre.

These guys are much too vocal :/. Everyday it's something. As a console gamer who does respect the game development process, I feel somewhat insulted. This comment is unnecessary; cut it down to "most" or "some" console gamers if you wish, but there are many gamers out there (both console and PC gamers) who recognize the labor and hardships game developers have to pull through to emerge with an adequate product. I'm sure it was just a generalization (it happens all the tim...

This game looks very promising. It's a shame it's getting little to no hype. I think it's going to be a sleeper hit.

No need to get offensive. It's not the be all and end all of gaming because IGN scored this title a 9.3, I'm just surprised IGN scored it lower than most of its predecessors. I don't use reviews to determine my purchase; I only use them as a point of reference. I'm still buying GoW3, no doubt.

This is the US score. IGN AU gave it a 9.4. I think this is the lowest they've ever scored a GoW game :/.

IGN has been a little rough with the PS3 lately, so I think I'll wait for other reviews. 9.3 isn't a bad score though.

Why is this listed in the God of War 3 review section?

Rockox, agreed! When watching gameplay footage I notice a prominent emphasis on lighting and sound, and that leaves a lot of room for experimentation on Remedy's part. Hopefully when this game is released, we'll see elements of classic film noir/mystery thriller storytelling embedded within.

P.S. Do the truffle shuffle!

That does not have to be the case. When pertaining to the thriller genre, there are other ways to keep an audience (or in this case, gamer) on their toes. A game can be atmospheric, and to a degree of high quality, without the use of blood and gore. There are a plethora of intangible agents that can contribute to a creepy ambiance. The wind that slithers through the cracks of window frames. The staircase treads that creak. The gunshot echoing from a distance. To quote Alfred Hitchcock: "...

Hm, interesting. I don't mind a "T" rating. Uncharted 2 had a teen rating, and it was one of the most enjoyable games I've ever had the chance to experience. This and Heavy Rain have been my most anticipated titles for quite sometime. I see a lot of potential in this game. It's a shame that the PC version was scrapped though. That demo back in 2005 was very impressive.

That's why I never base my purchase off critical acclaim, but more so off a pre-released demo or beta or something of the sort. Although I did enjoy Halo, Oni was my favorite Bungie title, but reviews for it were mixed. Some games reach people in ways that don't reach others. Edge is known for hammering PS3 exclusives though, and generally, I happen to disagree with their reviews. Even so, I was expecting mixed reviews for a title like Heavy Rain which is breaking the mold and is stepping int...

I was expecting a score somewhere in the negative range from Edge:

PROS:
-Cool title

CONS:
-Tank controls
-Slow pacing
-QTE's flood the screen and make us dizzy
-Voice acting makes me cringe
-This is a movie, not a game
-It's a PS3 exclusive
-We have more CONS but we've run out of space
-Oh, did we mention it's a PS3 exclusive?

(Not really quote on quote btw, lol).

But seriously, I was e...
