It is good for gamers if the result would've been a terrible experience. But, I feel for the team. I've been through a high-profile project cancellation before. It was devastating and I almost left the industry. So, I hope Kamiya and Co. are doing ok.
No.
You're painting with a broad brush. I'm a programmer working in the games industry. I made far more than 20k last year and I consider my salary comfortable for my lifestyle. Among my network of colleagues, there's no one bringing home a salary in that range.
I do not mean to say that compensation is great throughout the industry. Or that crunch isn't a problem at many companies. It is. I'm saying there's a large variance in compensation well beyond w...
That's nice. But, single GPU > Crossfire/SLI. There are still too many games that don't support SLI/Crossfire properly. I'll always take the more powerful single GPU.
Ubisoft fucking up their most promising titles like usual. Nothing to see here. Move along.
This comes off as typical cynicism fueled by nostalgia. I don't really care about FF7 and never understood why it's so beloved. But, I might give the remake a shot.

The purpose of my blog is to foster discussion, not participate in it. It's the internet. A lot of people are going to disagree with you and a lot of people are going to dislike you. Deal with it.
I bought it. I've played it for about 12 hours. I love it. I also understand the criticism and the controversy. However, I don't understand the supposed gaming enthusiasts who are passing crass judgment on others for finding value and enjoyment in something that they can't. Elitism is cute as hell. I just wish cynics knew how little their opinions matter to everyone else.
That has a lot more to do with there being alternative marketplaces. There is good competition at retail. Consoles don't share that benefit. They're closed platforms. Until that situation improves, I'll never buy digitally on consoles.
BioWare isn't an American company.
