And, Castlevania SOTN is BC now, as well as Halo Wars 1.
As of right now, Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are now BackCompat. Enjoy.
Last I heard you can have up to 16TB of external space.
I may be mistaken about this, but there is a GoD version of L.A. Noire on the marketplace. At least, it's available to buy digitally from Xbox.com. If so, it's cool cos it's only $7.49, and the season pass is I believe $2.49, so you can get all of the game for 10 bucks. Not bad, I'd say. Unfortunately I don't have my 360, so I can't check on the console store, but it's there on the web store. Good luck.
That's also why Xbox went with AMD for the 360, cos they were being overcharged for their GPU in the original Xbox (that and the hard drive was very expensive too, thus they never made a profit on the console) and also one of the reasons why BC wasn't truly available on the 360.
@maniacmayhem Technically, MS released the first HD system with the first Xbox. You had to get the A/V port for it, but it was outputting 1080i back then, which no other console did in that time. The 360 was straight full-on HD, but it was the 2nd to do it.
The same could be said for the PS2. Most people forgot how the original PS2s used to break down with the overheating and the disc read errors. The difference was Sony didn't extend their warranty and you had to pay to fix your PS2. It wasn't really worth the hassle, because they are known for charging through the nose to fix their stuff. That's Sony, btw, not just PlayStation. Sony products are normally very expensive to get fixed after the warranty expires. That's one o...
Why not do both? I think this next gen, MSFT is going to be able to do well on both the multimedia and gaming fronts. No reason why you can't do both of them well at the same time, and be able to give people what the want on both ends of the spectrum. How they do that remains to be seen.
You have to remember, the RRoD was not purposefully done. They did rush out the 360, and paid dearly for it. They did do the right thing by extending the warranty however, and once they were doing that, they were making the slim model of the 360, and took their time to make sure that the same thing didn't happen again. They're not going to rush it out. They've learned their lesson. If that is really the only chink in the armour of Xbox's history, that's fine with me. ...
Well, to be fair, Nintendo didn't show the WiiU when it was originally announced either, so it doesn't really matter. Having said that, MS has always had some sort of box to show once they first announce a console. They did it with both the Xbox and the 360. So, I would expect them to have a console to show for this one. Whether it is the final one that we get once it comes out remains to be seen, but that's something that they do differently than the other companies do.
Pachter is an analyst, nothing more nothing less. If you were into getting stocks and bonds, you pay attention to guys like him. He's as big as he is because he was the first one to do that kind of work with gaming companies, which still not many people are doing. Guys like him do things like this for just about every type of stock, electronics, automotive, produce, telecommunications, etc. Now with Pach, they're doing video games. Most analysts, Pach included, are usually more w...
They haven't announced it yet. So far, everything that's been said about the new Xbox is pure speculation. Even with the developers, they're going by current dev kit technology that MS has put out. They could upgrade their dev kits just like Sony did. We just don't know yet. I would say hold off until possibly April when MS officially announces their console, and hopefully shows off the specs for it.
Jansen and Ming from Lost Odyssey. That was a very nice sidestory, even though it was basically all cutscenes, it was still very nice, and romantic.
The reason why they stopped supporting Xbox 1 when the 360 came out was purely financial. They were losing money hand over fist on that console, so it didn't make sense financially to continue to support it. Most of the titles for the 360's launch were Xbox 1 games up rezed. PDZ and Kameo in particular. They did say that when the next console came out, they would continue to support 360. And they can do that because 360 is making a profit. Has been so over the last couple of yea...
It's the new Arcade version. The 4gbs is the onboard flash memory. The old arcades had 512mb on-board memory. These arcades also have the 250 gbs hard drives sold seperately like the old ones did, at the same prices ($129.99). The regular ones, like the elites have the HDD built in with it (250 gbs).
This was done for Assassin's Creed 2, if you remember. That live action prequel was excellent. Great quality, great acting and great script. I hope that this is just as good. The cool thing is, it comes on XBL every Sunday for download up until the Sunday before the game comes out. So by the time you finish the series, you'll be ready for the game. Great timing.
Also, with people saying it's like Twin Peaks, as long as it's the 1st season of TP, I'm happy.
They still do make applications for Apple's computers. When it comes to software, they are actually the #1 non-first party selling software.
THis is N4G. Anything negative that is out there to post about the 360 and its games are going to take top priority over positive X360 news and stories. Once the fanboys from both sides took over this site, they make small stories like this into full out d*ck contests.
Don't forget about Rare and their BK:N&B. It's like taking a platforming puzzle game and throwing in Gary's Mod. I'm looking forward to that game as well. It's a good time for gamers, especially if you like both PS3 & 360...you got LBP, Fable II, Banjo, Fallout 3, GeOW2, Left 4 Dead...and that's just off the top of my head right there. Time to ask for a loan to just be able to afford the games alone, let alone the time.
Don't forget Everlast!
