It all comes down to taste I guess. I was referring to the activities, there's a lot more to do and see in WD2 while Mafia 3 is very VERY repetitive and the world itself is underwhelmingly boring.
Story and characters were good in Mafia3, everything else was garbage. Opposite applies to WD2, it had a bad story and characters but gameplay was great. And it all comes down to gameplay so WD2 takes it for me.
....Annnd my interest to get it day 1 went from 100 to 0. I'll grab it second hand when it really drops in price.
That made absolutely no sense. If Rocket League is your cup of tea than good for you, but it's never going to replace a good football simulation.
Really? I taught that gameplay-wise it was overall better. Also the city is a lot more fun to explore.
What drags this game back for me are the cheesy characters and humor. The story is also not interesting at all - not that the first Watch Dogs had a good one, but at least I appreciated the serious tone.
RDR2 is a long way out but let me tell you: No, it won't.
With Gta V Online's success at generating money, it's very likely that they'll do the same with RDR2. They will create a big online componant and release overpriced DLC items on a regular basis to make you buy shark cards or whatever they'll call it - just like they're doing with GTAV now. Shame really.
People make some damn stupid comparisons these days. I understand comparing Watch dog's 2 open world to GTA V but Skyrim? Skyrim's world has a very different feeling, no modern citys, cars etc. Not even comparable.
You could definitely compare Skyrim to Fallout 4 or Witcher 3 but comparing it to GTA and Watch dogs is pretty dumb.
lol it's a drone to put it simply.
Yes. Well they act as a loading that's why they're mostly unskippable. But they're maddening sometimes, you try to open a door and a cinematic kicks in. Jesus.
Max Payne 3 was good. Like 7/10 good but not great. The cinematics were badly put together and robbed me from the controls way too often. Gameplay wise it's really good but the game itself is too linear.
You did a "full ocean search" in GTA V? lmao
People still playing AC1?
This guy can't drive without constantly playing with the camera.
Anyway, game looks good. Hope it won't disappoint.
SSX3 was pretty good imo but nothing will ever top Tricky.
Imagine a current-gen remaster of SSX Tricky. That would be a dream come true. Shame EA BIG doesn't exist anymore, used to love their games - especially SSX & Nba Street.
Looks absolutely amazing! wished it was a bit longer though...
Okay, these two games have differences but saying "they're completely different" is simply not true. They're both action/adventure linear 3rd person shooters after all - we're not comparing GTA to Limbo here.
Plus, comparing the two can bring interesting conversations (if you can manage to keep the fanboyism out of it) and bring up some areas where the two games should improve upon. Nothing wrong with comparing the two.
Glad you're enjoying it. It's really good to hear positive opinions on the game as I've been looking forward to it, especially the story side. It's rare to see an open world game with a great story, even GTA fails in this category.
I'm hearing this game is pretty great (story, characters, gameplay) but apparently suffers from big technical problems at times (crashes, numerous bugs etc.). Definitly getting this but I'm thinking my best bet will be to wait a few months until it gets patched and inevitably becomes cheaper.
Overall, I hope they'll go back to a one character story. Like san andreas, controlling only one character gives you the sense of scale (makes you feel tiny in a huge city) and makes exploration more rewarding. I also hope they'd bring back the multiple cities. GTA V's Los Santos was pretty good but you eventually grow a bit tired of the same environement, and the desert was pretty bland imo.
1 character story & multiple cities are my only wishes. I know the...
Once again I disagree, while the missions structure stays the same in WD2, the game puts you in different situations and the world itself is a pleasure to explore. In Mafia3, most missions are a plain copy/paste and the world is plain and uninspired. But hey, if you like it good for you. I'll just leave this here though:
WD2 meta score: 82
Mafia3 meta score: 68
But yeah, of course I'm following sheep and everyone is wrong but you.
