Steam deck is a lot better than the switch. The switch is very expensive for what is offered and the steam deck is a bargain for what is offered. The switch has over 90 percent ports of old games and can't or won't get new generation games while the steam deck has thousands of games and will get a lot of current gen games. The switch with an oled screen is a rip-off especially when you consider its still using the joycons that will be faulty
The steam deck is amazing and it would be good if Dell makes the alieanware ufo to compete in the handheld space. The handheld gaming market needs a lot of competition because Nintendos offering has been underpowered for years with minimal features. Xbox one doesn't have adaptive triggers. Xbox one has rumble motors in the trigger buttons which is a lot different than adaptive triggers on the dualsense. If you played with a dualsense controller that utilizes the features you'd understand that it's far more advance than any other controller

Reality is that nintendo releases underwhelming software and hardware and fanatics accepts it. I'm not sure why people act surprise when they hear nintendo being nintendo. People see games like metroid dread that looks like it was made in the 90s and say it looks amazing. They are releasing a sequel to breathe of the wild six years later and it looks the same. I've said a few times that it would be uncharacteristic for Nintendo to release a more powerful system now when the regular switch is selling well with weak specs. For over 4 years a lot of Nintendo focused channels have been talking about a more powerful switch that will be able to play a lot of current gen games on Playstation and Xbox. I think Nintendo will make a more powerful handheld in 3 years because they want to port a lot more games to the switch

If sony has a whole development studio do all sorts of upgrades and make new environments in a game it takes a lot of time and energy. Quality costs. I would love a native ps5 upgrade for God of War, horizon zero dawn, the last of us 2 and a lot of other games but in order for that to happen sony needs to pay millions of dollars to developers so it would make sense for sony to charge for those upgrades. Why should sony give those upgrades away for free? I know gamers won't get a lot more upgrades to certain games they like because of backlash from a lot of people who want everything for free
Most developers would like gaas and not single player games. It's all about services so they can continuously get money from gamers through one game.
They've already ruined their reputation and I don't expect another sequel to the witcher until about five years from now. They'll need to make sure the game is proper polished so it might even take longer.
They need to focus on polishing cyberpunk now especially the Xbox series x and ps5 versions which will take a while to do.
It's better to find a download of any nintendo switch game online and download it to play in better quality on your pc or steam deck. A lot of switch games have terrible graphics and bad performance. No need to buy games that are overpriced on the switch that runs terrible.
