I bought Days Gone a year after it launched as a part of a PSN sale. I thought it was a good game but I personally didn't feel it was worth $60 at launch and that's why I waited till it went on sale. Especially after the amazing games that came out before. Uncharted, GOW, Horizon, Spider-Man, Red Dead, Arkham Knight, The Witcher 3 and so forth. If it had launched early in the PS4 gen then yeah but for a 2019 game it should've been $40 in my opinion.
They had nothing to do but yet half their fanbase wants them to reboot Jak and Daxter or remake the first game but instead they went with remaking The Last of Us. Also I thought they didn't have enough people to be that busy with so many projects. Something is not adding up here. 🤔
There's so much to look forward to next year for the PS5. This is insane.
God of War: Ragnarok
Horizon Forbidden West
Gran Turismo 7
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Returnal
Destruction AllStars
Sony and Square Enix are pretty close friends. Similar to how Microsoft and Bethesda was close friends before that deal. Plus Final Fantasy traditionally does better on PlayStation than Xbox. It wouldn't take much work for Sony lock down marketing rights and exclusivity over Final Fantasy when you like at the last few that sold poorly on Xbox (FF XIII-2, Lightning Returns, FF XV, Type-0)
It's going to be trash 🗑
PorkChump it's not irrelevant. Sony building relationships with independent studios like Sucker Punch, Insomniac and Media Molecule is different compared to Microsoft outright buying up third party company who made games for all platforms in the last two console generations.
Claps* 👏
