I disagree. Having two consoles divides people and creates fanboys. I think we need one hardcore gaming machine and then a casual one like Nintendo to meet those other gaming needs. Xbocks doesn't know what it wants to be and is out of touch with all the audiences its trying to desperately cater to. I'm sure developers would actually make better games if they only had one console to make them for.

Yeah I had the Watchdogs bundle. But I pre ordered back before they had shown any of Killzone's epic multiplayer footage. There were only 2 trailers of the game out when I pre ordered. PlayStation 2 dominated without competition. Over 2000 games across 13 years! With only one console, all developers could just focus on the games and not so much DLC. It would actually better for the industry, so long as there isn't a monopoly. I still think Nintendo should be around for those other games.
And Microsoft shouldn't make entertainment boxes to kill off gaming. I wouldn't miss them one bit. M$ is bad for business and even worse for gaming.
Mortal Kombat 3, Donkey Kong Country 1+2, Half Life, and Counter Strike were games that changed me. They are the games that made me fall in love with gaming and I wish I could go back to these years and restart my life from one of those checkpoints.
