It's more about franchises in my opinion, Call Of Duty is a well renowned series thats been around awhile and has never generally disappointed the masses, like Halo or GTA for example (although i hate Halo I can't deny it's success) so people naturally get excited and "hyped" about the next installment.
Then you have games like Demon's Souls for example, it's new and most who have played it loved it, now if there is a sequel it will attract hype because it's a good game...
I whipped down Fight Night Round 4 demo in about 5-6 minutes a couple of days ago which is insanely quick for me. Normally be at least a half hour.
Getting past Australian censorship.
Have a friend working at local Big W in Melbourne Australia. Most places in Aussie are releasing it today (the 26th). Jb Hifi and Target here are selling it today.
Game is just epic from what i've played so far, PS3 is starting to pay for itself.
Haven't been online yet, ISP capped my connection till the end of the month :( SP is plenty to keep me going till then.
I have a big Yamaha 6.1 surround setup and the audio deserves just as much if not more cred...
Its hard for me to overall judge the game really with the demo being so damn short, played through it 3 times, 3rd time round went sight seeing for a bit, havent really noticed boat loads of bad textures that some people are suggesting, there are a few but what game doesn't have those.
I like the cover system myself i think it works very well, the AI is brilliant, the controls work well in my opinion, they feel weighty and just right, you certainly dont feel like your restricted or like...
Console to downgrade from it's predecessor in history no?
Being the original came with a HDD as standard
A bunch of still shots taken at just the right angle to make it tougher, take 2 seconds to really look and it's not to difficult.
They v-lock the game, some of those screens are torn in half.
Otherwise I'm looking forward to this.
