Should of clarified. I will buy both regardless (REAL gamers don't buy only one :p) but my multi-platform fun will switch from Xbox to PlayStation.
At this moment I have a PS3, Vita and a 360. I also have a 3DS. Could never be happier with my gaming supply.
Blocking used games or not, GameStop will no longer be what it is if it continues to sell games at the prices that it does.
At least here in Australia (EB Games), at this very moment you can get NBA 2K12 for $32 pre-owned. Another retailer (JB HiFi) are selling the game new and sealed for $24. This is only one of many games which GS/EB sell far more than the competitor and it's only pre-owned. Imagine a new and sealed copy?
Not sure how long it has been h...
I play on the Xbox 360 far more than the PS3 and prefer it as my console for multi-platform titles, but holy hell am I excited for the PS4. Didn't have any care in the world for the PS3 at launch, but things may change next generation.
Sony are doing things right. They have been doing things right for a little while now. Take what you've *done with PSN Plus and move it to the PS4 and you will have a dedicated Microsoft boy switching sides.
*edit
Say what you will about TNA. Another wrestling game is great news for any wrestling fan and I welcome this move.
TNA Impact! on the Xbox 360 may never be rated as one of the best wrestling titles, but it was something different compared to what the WWE games were.
If a TNA video game can take the formula from games like WCW/NWO World Tour or even WCW/NWO Revenge, then it's destined to be something special and give the WWE video games a run for its money. ...
What? You're comparing NES and SNES to the PS1? You do realise that the NES console released in 1983 and the SNES console was released in 1990, right? PS1 console released in 1994..... not sure how consoles with cartridges compare to a console with a CD player.....
And @Bathyj, it doesn't matter. Pop in a DVD on your Xbox 360 or a Blu-ray on your PS3 with no internet connection and see if it works. It does? Well my friend, it was available out of the box, thus making ...
This reminds me, renew PSN Plus subscription while it is still on sale.
So Apple isn't the best electronics maker in the world? And here you are talking about retarded fanboys.
Check Apple's sales of iDevices compared to every other market for music devices, smartphones and tablets, then we'll talk.
Silliest thing I have read on N4G in the last 20 minutes.
A lot of console owners don't follow news? Then that makes all of these people on N4G what exactly....?
Especially when Elite is not even available for the PC audience.
Glad I purchased MW3 from some random Russian website for less than 1/3 of the RRP.
Over a billion dollars in 16 days says otherwise.
Face it people, no matter how much of the game is a rehash of a previous game in the series, Call of Duty is going to sell BIG! It's a shame that it does so well, I mean, I love games and ones that succeed, but if parents knew half the stuff that Call of Duty is about, they would think twice.
That being said, I like how they are trying something different with Modern Warfare 3. Too bad that Elite is nothin...
The demo is amazing. The game is going to be amazing, no question about it.
It's something you have to laugh at and shrug off, just like the majority of N4G and its fanboys.
You can never win. Some people have their console of choice so far up their behinds, it makes you wonder what they are actually enjoying.
No one is forcing you to buy the DLC. It's up to the consumer whether they wish to purchase add-ons or not.
The sour taste can be avoided.
I prefer my gaming to be done on the Xbox 360, but as of late, it has gotten stale.
I play and enjoy Crackdown a lot more than games released in the last few months, whether it be Gears of War 3, Rage or even Forza Motorsport 4. I play games where you can sense that developers/publishers cared about the fans, because all these new games are about money.
That being said, I received my order for Splinter Cell Trilogy on the PS3 and I will be playing that for th...
4 DLC packs a year... looks like they are trying to keep people interested in MW3, AFTER the new COD game is released.
Too bad Activision just care about the money and nothing more. If they wanted their current game to remain popular with new content, they would release these COD games 18 months after one another, not 12 months.
Forza Motorsport 4 utilises Kinect. Ghost Recon and Mass Effect 3 will utilise Kinect, as would many other non-dancing/sporting games.
Right now, these games sell and they sell mildly well. Why would you not milk it while you can?
Also, take a look at the Guitar Hero/Rock Band games. Milked to its death, yet they sold millions upon millions of copies. One of Activision's most successful games.
"Thank you THQ for not trying to milk the money as quickly as possible with your franchise"
They do it with other games though, which is sad. Still, I do hope that the UFC and WWE games are released every 2 years and not yearly.
When the PS3 did have backward compatibility, correct me if I'm wrong, but the console was expensive and it didn't have a lot to offer in terms of games.
That would be my reason behind the removal of BC.
This makes me mad. Microsoft own Rare, which has developed some great Nintendo 64 games. Why have they only remade a handful of 'em? Surely Nintendo do not own all of the rights for every single Rare game developed.
There is money to be made here, but these idiots have forced Rare into making shit that nobody cares about. Such a waste of a great company. And yes, I prefer Microsoft > Sony and I am mad at what they are doing.
As for HD remakes, I just g...
Well this is awkward. Why does N4G have a channel for the 'Xbox 720'?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to it, but I won't hold my breath. The Xbox 360 announcement launch was big for me and I made the transition from Sony and the PS2 over to Microsoft and the Xbox 360. Everything about it was almost perfect at the time (I wasn't familiar with hardware failure rate as I wasn't into gaming news and forums back then, but had I known I would of ditched them a l...
