you can get the sansa view with 32 gig flash ram with a expansion slot.
when you need the upgrade, buy a 32 gig card which should be dirt cheap. battery life is a plus on this one

i would wait til july/ august. some new ones should be out by then, dropping the current players with 32 gig flash ram prices down some more.
also, remember that some players have a storage card slot, which you can use to incease TOTAL storage space.
i liked that you could drag and drop, build quality was good, battery was ok ,never used radio...video was ok not great and it had no speaker. overall i would get a zune over a ipod.
samsung makes great players too, like the p2 which rhey constantly update with fw's like sony does the ps3
