in June 2008 The gap between PS3 and xbox hardware sales was ONLY 5.5 million. However that gap ROSE to 8 million by august 2009.
So of course PS3 has made some gains by bringing out a new model and selling it at an even bigger loss by dropping the price. But the spike of sales has now slowed hugely. The difference globaly is only around 40k units.
Halo and MW2 will not receive GotY because they haven't really brought anything new to the table.
