Its not like people have never heard of price cuts and bundles before. UK was the only place to get the price cut anyway, and they always get shafted when its comes to price and end up paying more.
An infamous ps4 bundle was announced weeks ago. Did everyone who bought a ps4 at launch get screwed? I think not.

No one said it would. Considering Xenoblade didn't move a lot of sales in the US, why would X suddenly be the game to get?
Whoever wrote this obviously doesn't udnerstand it would cost Nintendo more money to scrap the Wii U and bring a new system in such a short time, then to try and fix the "issues" Nintendo has with the Wii U.
Building a new machine takes years, and rushing out a new system would cause more issues than the Wii U currently ...
They did the same thing with Halo 4. We saw next to nothing until the E3 before it came out, which was in the same year.
