Man I am almost as excited for this as I was for BF3 itself. Can't wait to experience old school BF2 maps in Frostbite 2...
Man... Seine Crossing, Kharg Island, and Damavand Peak all sound like really awesome maps.
Can't wait. Really hope we see something new :D

The article does provide proof - a link to a thread on a popular advanced hardware / technology discussion forum that has a defined methodology for measuring native resolution and other graphics settings like type and intensity of anti-aliasing, etc:

Like the article says, so far every COD title on 360/PS3 (including MW, MW2, and Black Ops) runs at less than 720p (average is around 600-620p actually) and with variable framerate.
It's people like yourself that the article is meant to educate.

Earlier story used only a tweet from this afternoon as a source - this post references the official Steam News update to CS:GO as well as a recently posted blog entry on the official CS:GO website that details plans for beta expansion.
