Uh where did I say that? They want good games and they want to feel represented. Not everybody wants to play the same dude bro every game.
Asian markets are also highly protected.
Consoles stay at that number because they essentially target the same audience each generation. They aren’t adding many new players.

If active they mean how many consumers play 1 to 2 games at least X many days for X hours it’s certainly possible to have more active users on a smaller base.
It’s impossible with the current console model.

Many of the major 3rd parties signed exclusive deals with Sony…and Sega was forced to create many of their own series like 2k series of games

Even if I only complete 1 game a month … assuming they retail for $70 (average is probably closer to $45). That’s $840 a year, but I’m paying $15 a month so $180.
Compared to the competition if I bought $70 game each month it’s $840.
