With Scorpio on the horizon I'll probably get Oculus and use it with a PC and the Xbox. But good for PS owners.
Sony had already been an established market leader for nearly a decade. Considering the circumstances including competition from Nintendo and a rushed but late launch Xbox OG did fairly well.
The 360 obliterated the PS3 in software sales and even the Xbox One has a very high attach rate considering its user base.

The Surface line is better than anything I've seen produced by Sony. Sony even copied it with its line of 2 in 1 devices multiple times. And guess what the Surface team is making the next Xbox.
Bloodborne sold a little above 1.2 million.

Uncharted 4. 2.7 million with a base of 40 million.
3rd parties sell in the 10s of millions.
Look up what the estimates were when the gen ended in 2013. Xbox 360 beat the PS3.

84+ million sales hundreds of millions in software - Xbox 360 was king.
Ps3 had some good quality game toward the end of the gen but sold significantly less software and only hit about 80 million.
Gen was over in 2013.
I blame N4G for facilitating the toxic environment.
