CMA never mentioned SONY in their arguments. They said cloud gaming.
They said the have a monopoly in cloud. Who else has stayed the course in cloud?
The CMA is “protecting” a market that they concluded they think will exist in the future. It makes no sense.
Imagine if they said SONY couldn’t buy a developer/publisher because it was anti-competitive, couldn’t find evidence for it, then turned around and said the deal shouldn’t go through because SONY has a monopoly on console VR and then punished SONY because they pioneered console VR while Microsoft and Nintendo looked the other way.
