this is just a part of the growing pains that the video game industry must go through as it get closer to full on mainstream acceptance. First we had no tv coverage, then small mentions, then tv shows about games, now we got stupid award shows and at some point in the future we will get a good awards show on air. Havn't heard allot about them but theGame Developers Choice Awards look like a good one to use. Might need to add alittle to it but the core looks goo.

I think it's interesting that Sony took the start cheap and add stuff at cost route for PSN. While 360 took the more expensive yet all inclusive route for live. They both did the reverse of what they each did when it came to the hardware. PS3 being more expensive but having more features while 360 was cheaper out the box but you had to pay for the add on stuff. I think this a clear example of each company's strengths and weaknesses. i think that the suit was only to make it clear that using this program is illegal so that when someone tries too sue over their console being banned or remote bricked sony can just say to the judge "We banned that person because they commited illegal activities on the machine. I never really thought much about it but I did try to resist when the guy was trying to force Madison to take off her clothes. why do you think Sony needs to to "win" portable gaming? The I-Phone dominates the cell phone market yet other phones still do well. As long as they can turn a profit. I don't think most companies care all that much about winning anything other then money.
