This is the best well thought out review yet on here. All the other reviews posted here look like they were done by 12 year old fanboys. I would love to see somebody try to argue your points. But most likely they'll just verbally attack you with childish comments like Mavericks earlier comment.

Than why would you keep playing a game that has horrible hit detection? I think that might be pretty important in a shooter.
Of course they're to long. It's ridiculous how long they are. Now I know why Konami gave restrictions for the reviewers on the cutscenes cuz even they knew it was a problem.
Hopefully they'll fix the insane amount of bugs that the elite unfairly used to their advantage like shooting while hiding inside rocks. Not to mention the laughable hit detection. Socom was the only real online shooter for the ps2 so fans didn't know any better. The fact is the game was a mess.
I don't know about all the other games but I agree with the top 3.
THIS article is about the FIGHTING ENGINE. THIS article is talking about how the FIGHTING ENGINE of NG is much better than both DMC and GOW. If their is an article about the story than by all means you can yap till your heart is content. Until than stick with the topic please!
But we're talking about the fighting engine here. The article talks about the gameplay. Not the story. And NG is second to none.

Well of course this is going to trouble a few sony fans but it's the truth. The Ninja Gaiden series was always about GAMEPLAY. God of War can be beaten with the same weapon using the same moves. DMC is also pretty easy. NG is for the skilled. Everybody knows this.
I agree with LaChance... the other games had a better presentation but lacked gameplay. NG2 is all about gameplay and that's why it's the better action game.
All the system sellers? Like MGS4??? That only sold about 40k more than the 360. That was Sony's main gun and it only sold 40k more. The ps3 will not have a game that absolutely crushes the competition like Halo 3 did to the ps3. The 360 outsold the ps3 by 400k when Halo 3 came out. Sony doesn't have anything like that.

Damn the ps3 only sold 40,000 more with the release of their main gun MGS4? That's pretty weak. When Halo 3 came out the 360 outsold the ps3 by 400,000. :)
This will easily be the best multiplayer experience in 2008. Just listen to the people having a blast with this game. Oh yeah baby, BRING IT ON!
I remember the sony fans praising this game before it's release. And now we find out that it was a sales flop and it sucked. Do you guys even buy the games that you always boast about or do you just use it for your lil list of exclusives?
Doom 3 sucked??? It averaged 88%. Just alot of jealous haters here bashing a game not going on the ps3.
Honestly, we'll never know the exact numbers. But Sony does have a history of lying so I definitely don't agree with any of their statements.
