Not only is my DS4 left thumstick falling to bits but also L1 (arguably the least used button)is sticking after its pressed aswell.
I've had it since launch day, so its not even 2 weeks old & the things falling apart piece by piece so I'm glad I can use different controllers.
Going to get in touch with the retailer on the weekend & get it replaced. It's the worst quality controller ive ever used in almost 30 years of gaming.
@621infamous actually you might be right, infamous certainly looks like it might do it although it's not released yet. Hopefully it'll prove me wrong.
In regards to GG though it's easy for developers to say it looks better than the pre footage, they say it all the time look at Turn10 & Forza for example. Killzone was definitely close but it didn't match the reveal trailer.
I'll get loads of disagrees for this probably because i'm a realist & not a fanboy, but I havnt seen 1 single game that has matched up to any of the preview videos from E3 etc..
The closest one was Killzone obviously which was pretty close but apart from that none of them PS4 or Xbone were near their targets.
...and yes all footage that has been shown to the public at least for The Order have been target renders as it is with all games.
So is this definitely legit then has DRM been added?
I was really looking forward to picking this game up next. Looks like it's going to have to be go without or NBA Live which is a real shame :-(
The silly wax layer they've covered the sticks in gets real greasy real easy. Playing FIFA especially is a nightmare as my thumbs are constantly slipping off. It's so annoying!
What a stupid thing to say.
I've been saying this over the past week, the DS4 thumbsticks are cheap & nasty. I've had it 9 days & my left sticks already falling apart.
Easily the worst quality thumbsticks I've ever used in my 20 years of gaming. No idea how this was overlooked, I noticed it on my very first gaming session on release day.
I actually really like contrast yes it has lots of bugs but not any to cause me to dislike the game. With all these low review scores it has got I wouldn't of gave it a chance so I'm glad it came to PS+
That's just how normal texture streaming works I'm on about this new Graphite SDK method that the article speaks about.
I'm interested in seeing how they store 6gb of textures in 32mb ESRAM. Not sure how it works but if the Graphite SDK works then that could by a massive help to the XBone. As all things related to the XBone tho at the moment I'm afraid I'm going to have to wait till I see it before I believe it.
If possible though it's great news.
My guess is this is to fix the FIFA/PSN payment security breach.
I tried it for the 1st time ever I bought an ultimate team pack with my credit card on Wednesday. Firstly as part of a bit of a disturbed test to see if it was true but secondly also because i've never been able to get in to ultimate team mode & prefer career mode but my mates keep trying to talk me into it. This morning I woke up & I was locked out of PSN requesting that I change my password, so I...
It has got a lot of bugs but its still a great game, deserves more than these low scores its been getting. I think a 7/10 is about right for this game realistically.
Are you genuinely trying to claim the game wasn't optimised because it didn't run quite as smooth on your laptop? Haha what exactly were you expecting?
As everybody else has said, the game flys unless you add über sampling.
I ran it at maximum settings 1080p 60fps on an i5 GT560 ti.
First game or feature that has got me interested in the Wii U so it's deff a system seller. Only thing that puts me off is i've heard its only about 7-10 hours long.
I preferred the DS3 over the 360 & to be honest im not enjoying the DS4, mainly because of the thumbsticks. The cheap horrible waxy coating on them makes them the slippiest thumbsticks ive ever used & my left 1 is already starting to peel to pieces after only 6 days. Plus I find the deadzone a bit twitchy like the old 360 pads.
I'm finding the shape of the pad & how you hold it makes it uncomfortable to pull your fingers back on themselves to reach the L1/R1 b...
I was going off memory from last night, ive had a proper look & the gap is about 2cm spacing, ive had a look & its exactly the same spacing as the DS3 so it must be the DS4's new shape design which means you have to bring your finger awkwardly back on itself to an uncomfortable position to hit the L1/R1 buttons.
The thumbsticks have got a cheap & nasty horrible waxy coating to them & because its wax it becomes more & more slippy the more you play it. ...
After my first 6 days with it I've realised I love the console but hate the controller!
I have to admit as a day 1 ps4 owner with all the hype about the dual shock 4 controller I'm disappointed. I have to say I'm really not enjoying the DS4.
The thumbs-sticks I'm finding the worst, what ever horrible, cheap, rubber coating they've got on the top renders the concave ridge pointless I'm having the biggest difficulty I've ever had with my thumbs constantly slipping off after about an hours use as the rubber coating seems to get really greasy...
Really, only 6 months ago... Wow that's gone slow!!
It's certainly not an average game by anyone's standards but i'll agree it's not the ground braking game people make it out to be
