Even though it was a fun and original game, i believe its campaign only lasts 8-10 hours or so.
I remember i bought this game as a kid just before i went to visit my grandparents.
Of course i brought the game and my gamecube with me to play during the otherwise boring visit :p

Ill wait for the official reveal at E3 though, before i get to exited/dissapointed.
Hmm to me it looks like the one hit kill range is about the same, but beyond that range you need more shots to down then other gears games..
I do agree that they nearly ruined gears 3 (because of the sawed-off shotgun imo)

But now you mention that its in 1912, that's a pretty long time in between, and i doubt ryan was over 60 years old.

Maybe, but missing a lot of the features that i enjoyed the most still sucks man, halo has been my favorite series till halo 4.
I've been a forger and custom gameplayer most of all.
No customizable infection
No race
No free for all
No rank system
No file browser
And only a few symetrical maps
All that stuff was in the previous titles

I agree with you on that, it definitly seemed like bungie was done with halo after 3,
Also Im not saying the game is necasarry bad, because cmon, it's halo.
But some of the things that made halo really the unique game it was, is still very much missing because its not bungie anymore.
You can tell that the maps are way different in halo 4. Not the close combat symetrical maps that where very unique and well thought trough.

Was hoping to see the name Armin shimmerman in there, the voice actor of andrew ryan.
Well that busts my theory of running into him in infinite.
My thoughts where that since ryan always mentioned the life on the surface and how the goverment and church always opposed the experiments and ’human evolution' in his eyes, i thought columbia would be a great place for ryan to be in his life before rapture.

Everything that made halo great imo is gone now, the clean tight and symetrical maps have been replaced with uneven open terrain maps with some random buildings on it.
The loadouts ruined the weapon balance Older halo's had.
And every forger and custom games fan will tell you custom games is a joke compared to H3 and reach.

That's true, i dont see MS ditching their cash flow from live gold as well.
Alltough i think they should change it up a bit. Maybe make the online play free, but maybe have the other features still require gold; party chat, deal of the weak sales, first access to demo's and arcades etc.
I would really be happy if the money i pay for gold would get rid of all the fucking ads on my dashboard..
