You sure talk like you've got some inside info on MS. And calling them dumb is just calling those supporting their brands dumb because they're rich because of us buying they're products. And like Sony did a great job promoting the PS3 or their AAA titles? much can be called "dumb" over there too.
But I cant say that MS has been making some good decisions in the gaming department but i'm all for these timed exclusive because it only means that games are released earlier...
The only big thing that i hate about FM3 is the upclose coc*pit view, I just learned to like playing in coc*pit view but it feels kinda unrealistic because when i drive a car IRL I can see my arms both side-mirrors and the no-shifting-animation is somewhat acceptable but it would still have been a nice touch. Other than that the game is a must-buy for me! I've really missed playing racing-sims
Someone would think sense there are more Xbox out there, there'd be more Xbox fanboys but all I see in every FM3 article is GT5/PS3/Sony lovers commenting on the game. If GT5 is so great then why do you all feel the need to keep reminding us about it? Let the game speak for itself people!
Look at it like this, Turn10 is owned by MS and when it comes to this PR-stunts we should be pointing fingers at MS and not at people at Turn10 (at least not all of them) . I dont think that everybody at Turn10 is proud of this kinda attention and at the end of the day its the boss calling the shots and not his minions.

I was just thinking the same thing. Matter of fact this site is starting to destroy my hype!! I'm starting to notice things i never cared about and for each article I read my mind start going "maybe i'll just wait 6 months for Gt5.." but then i remember that 6months is a VERY long time

For being just "any" game I think it sold great but for a Halo title and with the success of Halo3 i kinda expected more, at least from the EU sales. I wonder how Reach will do.
I never buy Halo games but I would just love to see more Halo games coming out, because I'm so curious of when it will stop being huge. Its still funny though how GTAIV is like top two on the list, you would expect the exclusives to be up there..
Lets face the facts, they could have boasted about the game how much they wanted(as they did) but it still wouldnt change what they delivered and if you like a game better because of what developers are saying and not what they're delivering/showing then thats just sad.
Look at Fable, that game sold good even though it didnt deliver half the features it would and its because people still found it....fun.
Take a game for what it is and dont expect some developers (Turn10) ...
i can agree to the little plastic look of the cars, especially with the color red and blue.. but jaggies? imo FM3 has higher polycount (from what i can see) but when it comes to the interior Shift is better than anything i've seen on the consoles this gen but then again they dont model interiors for hundreds of cars. And one gotta appreciate the 60fps even though the lack of a little better lighting disappoints.
And i wouldnt doubt T10 statement about the 10x polycount because if...
if there is one thing i hate about FM3 it must be the way its being advertised. It kinda saddens me to see how great game developers get sucked in in this whole comparison drama about which racing sim is the best... Or maybe its MS's work?
Honestly i really dont care about damage at all. its a nice feature but since its still A GAME i'd rather have good physics than a crash sim! burnout isnt that realistic, cars dont get damaged that roughly and so easily. a game is ment to be fun!
i'm having fun with the demo right now and i wish that there were an option to take away the visual damage, i just dont like seeing my car damaged! and the demo is great btw
How the hell can some of you be saying that GT5P looks better than FM3? IMO the car models looks pretty much on the same level but i still think FM3 looks somewhat better. And then again GT5P has sh*tty environment compared to FM3!
GT5 is another thing though, and IMO a huge improvement from GT5P. I just wished it wasn't released so damn late but i'll just be enjoying FM3 till its release so I'm good.

stop comparing games that's not even in the same category! some of you says that ODST is not bringing anything new and still gets a high score, you say that its just an expansion and does not deserve a full price....well IMO every pokemon game is just an expansion to the previous pokemon game but it doesnt make it less addictive and fun...and how many pokemon game is there?
Uncharted2 looks better than any console game out right now (imo) but it doesnt look like something groundbreaking...
I remember playing the first GT game on PS1 and i must say that THAT felt like a good driving sim (at that time) and since then i've never bought another sim (of any kind). Now i feel ready for another driving sim after all the arcady games i've played. GT5 is no option because I dont know anything about it(almost) . Forza3 with night-time racing would have been a clear winner and NFS Shift feels more like a rent-before-buy game. but well, since i'm not in a hurry I'm just gonna wait for all...

Its always of how good the engine is (even though there are limitations to the hardware) and how good it's adapted to that specific console.
Personally i'd like to see more exclusive games because that way we gamers and providers for the gaming industry could spend our money knowing that we're getting something done to the "fullest" on that specific console.

Thats the thing I hate about this generation of technology, they come up with newer things faster than I can blink and before I know it my current tech kit seems like from the 90's. But one thing is for sure, I'm not going to buy any of these 3D Tv's until they are the new standard. The only thing I regret not buying at launch is the PS3( as it had the PS2 BC and now my ps2 is dead)
