There is a free version for those with PS+ with fewer cars and fewer tracks. Pretty much a large demo. However, you get to transfer your progress from the PS+ edition should you decide to go full retail. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.
It'll be $400. The cost of 500GB and 1TB are not wildly different and it was reported recently that Sony has already reduced manufacturing costs of PS4s. Another reason to keep it at $400 is to checkmate the XBox One's inevitable price drop.
